Jennifer Petter, Arrakis Chief Scientific Officer, is Contributing Author in Feature on Women Scientists in Journal of Medicinal Chemistry
Waltham, Mass., March 8, 2024 – Arrakis Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company pioneering the discovery of a new class of small molecule medicines that directly target RNA, today announced that the company’s Chief Scientific Officer, Jennifer Petter, PhD, has contributed to a feature on Women Scientists in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, published today. The publication, entitled “Empowering Voices: Inspiring Women in Medicinal Chemistry,” features female medicinal chemistry scientists who are recognized as role models and express their insights and motivations for conducting research in medicinal chemistry and improving human health. The feature article was published concurrent with International Women’s Day 2024.

This feature in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry is an initiative of the ACS Medicinal Chemistry Division (MEDI) in recognition of International Women’s Day 2024 to foster a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment by sharing uplifting stories of what inspired female medicinal chemists to pursue their scientific careers.
